First time with ASI290.

Did some stacking of (with and without focus reducer):

  • M42 (Orion Nebula) 

  • Meissa

  • M41 (Open Cluster) - Canis Major

  • M35 (Open Cluster) - Gemini

  • Rigel


Some takeaways:

  • Tracking is not easy.

  • Hard to recognize stars.

  • Picking up dimmer stars than eyepiece (I have not gone much higher than 11 visually, but the camera picks up stars above 13).

Based on pics, FR was 0.65x (used 1.25 inch spacer between FR and camera).
Roughly fits the curve. Need another 10mm extender to get to 0.5x.
