Skies were clear initially but then clouds moved in. Spent a lot of time waiting for holes in the clouds. Also the moon was 99% full.

Used the “star drift” method (no FR, reticule in ASILive) to better align the EQ platform. Visible improvement but not enough to do longer exposures than 2s.

Observations:

• NGC 3359 (Galaxy) - Ursa Major

• Could not find/see Coddington Nebula (Galaxy) - Ursa Major 

• M81 (Bode’s Galaxy) - Ursa Major

• M104 (Sombrero Galaxy) - Virgo - 15 degrees from full moon with passing clouds

• M51 (Whirlpool Galaxy) - Canes Venatici
