EAA of planets, planetary nebulas, and a few galaxies

I had a couple of goals for the evening:

  • try again to make flat frames: software background extraction struggles removing the vignette with large bright objects (e.g. M31). I tried using the large LED flashlight but it made a spot too small so I ended using the small astro LED flashlight. The flat stack seemed to have a bright spot and that ended up showing on the live stack (as a dark spot). The images below were saved directly from ASILive (and deNoised afterwards). My stacking script has some issues with calibration frames.
  • use FireCapture / ASIVideoStack to image Jupiter, Saturn and some planetary nebulas
Observations:
  • M31 and M32 galaxies - Andromeda with L-Pro, 0.75 FR - image saved from ASILive
  • M33 Triangulum galaxy with L-Pro, 0.75 FR - image saved from ASILive
  • Jupiter and Saturn with 2.5x barlow
  • C22 Blue Snowball Planetary Nebula - Andromeda - no FR
  • C15 Blinking Planetary Nebula - Cygnus - no FR
Saturn 75% of 3090x21.3ms

Jupiter 75% of 2299x5.8ms

C22 Blue Snowball 75% of 43x1s

C15 Blinking Planetary Nebula 75% of 76x994ms

M31 and M32 Galaxies 60x3s

M33 Triangulum Galaxy 74x3s
